Travel Awards
NASCRE 5 Travel Awards for Young Researchers
ISCRE has secured funds to support the participation of young researchers: graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and early career faculty who will present an accepted oral presentation at NASCRE 5 in Houston. To be eligible, all applicants must be employed at a U.S. University. Early career faculty must be less than 7 years from their Ph.D. as of February 16, 2025. Depending on the number of applicants, the selection may be made competitively based on the applicant's CV
The travel awards will cover expenses up to $1,000 USD and may include a single room for three (3) nights of lodging at the conference hotel for the full NASCRE 5 conference. The award may also cover conference registration and airfare to help defray travel costs; that will be determined based on funding availability after the conference. All itemized lodging and airfare receipts and boarding passes must be submitted within 5 business days of the last day of the conference (February 19, 2025). Airfare must be booked through a U.S. Flag Carrier to be deemed reimbursable by this award. Note that should we receive a large number of applicants, winners may be asked to share with another travel award winner. All applicants must stay for the full three nights of the conference (Sunday to Tuesday).
Application Procedure
Applicants need to submit their curriculum vitae to ppbollini@uh.edu. All applicants who upload their CV will be reviewed for the award. The application must be made before December 15, 2024. The award winners will be notified by 15 January 2025.
